Dr. Shazeen Ali is a therapeutic optometrist who specializes in primary eye care and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. A native Austinite, Dr. Ali is excited to provide exceptional eye care to Austin's residents.
Dr. Ali graduated from Westlake High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Advertising. She always enjoyed helping people and knew she wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field, so she continued to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned the prestigious Sigma Kappa Award from the International Optometric Honor Society. She completed specialty training through externships in cataract and laser vision correction surgery co-management, contact lenses, and the management of glaucoma.
In her spare time, Dr. Ali enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, reading, and keeping up with the latest fashion trends in the eye care business. She also enjoys meeting new people and looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with her patients by focusing on their vision needs.
As a primary eye care provider, Dr. Ali conducts comprehensive eye exams, treats common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, and prescribes glasses and contact lenses. As a therapeutic optometrist, she also treats ocular diseases such as eye infections, pink eye, dry eye, glaucoma, etc. Dr. Ali also co-manages vision correction procedures such as LASIK and cataract surgery.
