Dr. Shazeen Ali

Dr. Shazeen Ali is a therapeutic optometrist specializing in primary eye care and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. A native Austinite, Dr. Ali is excited to provide exceptional eye care to the local residents of Austin.

Dr. Ali graduated from Westlake High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in advertising. She always enjoyed helping people and knew she wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Hence she continued on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she earned the prestigious Sigma Kappa Award from the International Optometric Honor Society. She completed specialty training through externships in cataract and laser vision correction surgery co-management, contact lenses, and the management of glaucoma.

Dr. Ali is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. She is a volunteer for the Special Olympics. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, reading, experimenting in the kitchen, and keeping up with the latest fashion trends in the eye care business. Dr. Ali enjoys meeting new people and looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with her patients by focusing on their needs.

As a primary eye care provider, Dr. Ali conducts comprehensive eye exams, treats common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, and prescribes glasses and contact lenses. As a therapeutic optometrist, she also treats ocular diseases such as eye infections, pink eye, glaucoma, etc. Dr. Ali also co-manages vision correction procedures such as LASIK and cataract surgery.
